This bright orange collar not only kills and repels both fleas and ticks on pups with necks up to 22 inches, but also prevents flea eggs from hatching for over half the year, effectively breaking the flea life cycle and inhibiting reinfestation. The water-resistant design ensures the collar remains effective even after exposure to rain, allowing for continuous protection from head to tail.
For added safety, the Reflect-X Shield technology incorporated into the collar reflects direct light for up to 300 feet, providing an extra layer of nighttime visibility for your canine companion. To ensure optimal protection, the collar should be replaced every 7 months.
The Hartz UltraGuard Plus collar is suitable for use on adult dogs and puppies 12 weeks of age and older. Before using the product, please carefully read and follow the directions. To activate the insecticide generator, remove the collar from the package and unroll it to stretch the material. Do not unroll the collar until you are ready to use it.
Place the collar around your dog's neck, adjusting it to ensure a snug, yet not overly tight, fit. The collar should slide over the dog's head comfortably when fastened. Leave 2 to 3 inches of extra length on the collar for adjustment, and trim off any excess.
It is important to note that sensitivity may occur after using any pesticide product for pets. Some animals may become irritated if the collar is applied too tightly. If this happens, loosen the collar. If the irritation persists, remove the collar, bathe your dog with mild soap, and rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If the signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.
Veterinary consultation is also recommended before using this product on debilitated, aged, or medicated pets. Additionally, do not use the Hartz UltraGuard Plus collar simultaneously or within 30 days before or after the application of other flea and tick products. However, the collar can be replaced immediately.
